This is my last day as a care-free student. I've done a lot dozing and lazing around to push me to the cramming period. Although the pressure hasn't hit me yet, I'm pretty the weight of 12 journal entries for Filipino class and 3 home works to axe off for Economics would come soon enough. Plus, let's not forget about the 50 letters I have to write (the blazes of hell) for my class's upcoming retreat in Caleruega. Oh yeah, I'm forgetting that I am indeed a senior high school student and that in a few months time, "Sayona de~". 

All in all, I have given up. :( I still wanted to continue playing the Starry Sky series but given spoilers that I've read from funny Otome bloggers, and the complete unavailability of English patches (so I can comprehend properly), the idea's already turning sour for me by the minute. Maybe after a windfall of home works and quizzes next week, I'm totally going to forget all about my past with my precious constellation guys :( 

And who knows, maybe by the summer, an English Patch for Starry Sky In Summer would be released by a couple of life savers. But whether that happens or not remains to be seen in the future. If only I know how to read Japanese characters... Well then, it can't be helped.

 I still haven't finished Yoh's route though in SS In Spring. Yah- I'm hovering on not tapping on it anymore. I never really liked Yoh in the first place. 

Kanata's route was pretty plain and unromantic too. It's just Kanata, always blushing and then fighting. It also didn't help that Tsukiko was avoiding him that caused him to pass out after the observation thingy affair in school. God. I hate them.But I still like Kanata. LOLS. Just because he's a crybaby and there's something that makes me go Oh-Oh-Oh. His true ending redeemed his pretty disappointing scenes and reactions though. Really, Honeybee. Get a grip.

As for Suzuya... well, yeah yeah, I got him first but after playing Kanata... I'm starting to hate him. I want to push him off the stairs. Haha. Kidding. And while I was on the Kan-kan path, there were a lot of scenes about Suzuya and his "budding" feelings for Tsukiko that he just keeps locked up. Honestly, okasa. I can't help thinking that the creators were Suzuya-biased. And also, his scenes were a lot more romantic. Totally not fair; whereas Kanata's were full of unnecessary worrying and childish awkwardness. Or maybe, Cancers are really just more sweet than Pisces. 

Oh why the hell can't I read or understand Japanese? DUH, because I'm not Japanese. So I'm probably just going to give up on this. Oh well, it was great while it lasted. Goodbye, my handsome bishies. 

Thinking how clueless I actually was when I was trying to successfully install Starry Sky In Spring with the English (even though I was already holding on to Crane Anime's installation guide the whole way), I decided to post how I was eventually able to play the game. (And it gave me what joy!)

Step One ~

Right. So first you have to download the game. I tapped and tried to some of the links Crane Anime provided so all credits to them. Come to think of it, almost all of the links come from them. Lol. But only some, though rather a majority. 

I mean the Japanese-I-just-freaking-can't-understand version. Of the game. Some of the links given in Crane Anime are just troublesome either because of copyright issues or dragging download time. So I'm going to tell you which ones actually work. (Or worked in my case)

I used this one: Starry Sky ~ In Spring Link

And for my disastrous second try (but the link works): Craneanime  

Note: This has a password. It's Craneanime. Btw, ALL CREDITS AND RIGHTS to Crane Anime

It's a torrent so as expected it takes a decade to download. Plus, you have to have a torrent program for this such as Bittorrent or uTorrent. (I know, it's all complicated and fussy) When I used this link, it took about 3 hours at the most before the download was finished. I was so happy then but then I realized that I got an ISO file. And ISO files are for PSPs. NOT for PCs. So I was crushed. So ended up downloading the part rar files from the mediafire in the hopes that I'd get an .exe program. No such luck. And I underwent another 3 to 4 hours to finish all five parts of it. And then I got an ISO file again. Damnation galore.

But I kept a clear head. So what I did was to ask dear Google how I can use an ISO file to work in a PC. (Because even though I have a PSP my stupid brother just have to go and break the PSP's usb cord. Hell. Oh, and take note. DON'T INSTALL THE GAME YET! DO STEP 3 FIRST!

So yeah, time for the next step! :)

Step Two~

Download a Daemon Tool. Well, I was able to download one but I got my program from the official website. Which means... paid products. But doncha worry. There are lots of kind people in the internet who upload their programs for less fortunate people (like me). But those are probably going to come as torrents so yeah, before you're done downloading, you're already 80 years old and has grandchildren. Bless you. But if you want to have the game like now, NOW... follow what I did.

I downloaded a trial version in the Daemon Tool website. And you can pick from their products really, but I was just after the game so I picked the one closest to the one I saw in Crane Anime's print screen. LOLS.

Here's the one I used: Daemon Tool Pro Standard Download 

Now, if it really is a trial product, it will expire after 20 days...? (I'm not sure here, but I think I read it somewhere in the website.) So after the trial ends, you'd have to resort to Daemon Tool free downloads. Google's good at that. Trust it.

So after the Daemon Tool's out, next up would be to...

Step Three~

Change your unicode and regional setting to Japanese.

How to do? Easy.  start>control panel>regional and language options>advanced>install files for east asian languages. See? Easy. But that's probably where the easy part ends. Now you face another obstacle.

When you install East Asian languages, the freaking computer would ask you to put a Microsoft disc to obtain the files needed to install the languages. Which sucks if you're not using an authorized Microsoft program. So what I did was AGAIN course through the internet to find the file for east asian languages. It's really pain. 

This worked for me: East Asian Languages.rar

Now another problem would be making it work after you downloaded the file since you need to source out the file and a scroll box would ask you for the location of your source file. Just find your file using the scroll box or something and then click whatever is available. An installment would start but this would stop and ask you for the disc again (this about just killed me). Source out another folder or file from the East Asian Languages folder aside from Lang and click it. Just use your trial powers. After that the installation would go on smoothly. So there you have it.

And then when you already have the Jap Language in your system, change the Language for non-unicode programs to Japanese. There you're done. No more weird signs when you finally install the game.

Step Four~

Download the English Patch for the game.

Step Five~

Now that you have the Daemon Tool, your ISO file would be read like a CD. You can finally install it in your PC! Well, the installation for me popped up immediately, but I ended up freaking out and cancelled it. Weird me. I mean, it pure Japanese and I can't understand a thing. How am I supposed to know which is the Next button? Well, there's a B and N right next to the Japanese characters so it kinda gives you a clue. Silly me. So just install it and wait. After that, you're almost done. When the finish installation page comes up, disable the run the program check box. 

Step Six~ 

Install the English patch now. Oh, and if you're not one for spoilers, don't open the other folders contained in the main folder. Just click the exe file.Open game and you should be able to understand the words... oh, because it's already in ENGLISH!

And you're DONE! Certainly not that easy but since I've given some directions, you shouldn't encounter too many problems, although I did, the time that I was trying to get the game. I wasted a whole day just trying to make the stupid game work. But it was all worth it :) Happy gaming! 

 So I still don't have that camera. Ne~ that's really depressing. And to think that I actually have the money from Christmas. There's this pink Nikon camera that I've been wanting to get since... well, since I scoured for a Nikon camera (after being near one that isn't DSLR but looks like an actual camera and takes really good pictures that don't feature your face complete with the volcanic zits and disgusting sweat) and saw one that wouldn't sweep my budget clean too much. So yep, Starry Sky In Spring. It's an otome game that actually took me a day to download! What with all the necessary stuff to make the English patch work... 

But it was worth the wait~ I don't know if there's an available patch for the next three installments but if I do much voodoo dancing and turn around in circles, maybe another one would come up available :) So yeah, I finished Suzuya Tohzuki's route first. Well because... he's gentle and heartbreakingly handsome (although Kanata appealed to me too). It's just not that. He's also incredibly responsible and mature. Like a mom or an oba-san. LOLS.

So you probably don't know what I'm talking about. Lately, I was able to download an Otome Game, Starry Sky In Spring. It's supposed to be a series game and I've heard they also have an anime for this, idk. It's made by Honey Bee and the artwork's totally amazing! Like you'd literally fall in love with the guys (but so far, I've only tapped on 3 guys and married one of them *KYAAA!*) Anyway.... brief summary there:

(Right, now I'm tempted to just copy and paste a summary from my favorite Otome gamer, but I'm currently fighting the urge to do so *grimace.) You go by the name Tsukiko Yahisa (unless you prefer another name since apparently it's up to you) and you're a second year student of Seigatsu Academy. Your school specializes in Astronomy and you go to this rural institution with your two childhood friends Kanata Nanami and Suzuya Tohzuki. At the end of the semester, a transferee student, Yoh Tomoe comes into your lives and surprises everyone when he kissed you in the cheek! With Suzuya and Kanata's  feelings slowly coming to a form (they've loved you for a long time but was too scared that your bond as childhood friends would break if they make a move) and Yoh's transparency with his feelings raises the stakes higher and you'd have to make your own decision in the end. 

That's basically the plot. You get particular CGs when you go into a guy's route and there's two possible endings for each of them. A good one and a true one. And here's the curious part; of course you'd think that the good ending would be a super romantic one right? But from what I got, I think the true ending's more endearing. KYAA~ Just thinking of my ending with Suzuya gets me giggly all over again. Although the sweetness overload rather turned thing a little bit weird for me around the penultimate part. (Penultimate = before the end) 

So I'll just spazz over the guys okay? Here are my charming little... prince charmings.

Well, I didn't really feel Yoh-kun at first, but after readng White Butterfly's review of Starry Sky In Spring, I kinda got interested in playing him. Oh well, I plan to play all of them anyway. :) It's just that Yoh-kun isn't that captivating, may it be his looks, his demeanor, and well, compared to Suzuya-chan and Kanata-kun (who I think is actually the best looking amongst the three, although I did (spoiler alert)marry Suzuya for his attitude AND his looks hahaha) he just looks like a friend. To me, at least. But after being overwhelmed by the game and that I'm actually playing it, with sexy voices being thrown around (because the game has Seiyuus OHMEGAD), I initially intended to go for him (even though my heart is torn between Suzuya-chan and Kanata-kun). 

Oh yeah, Yoh-kun's from France, btw.

So this is my dear Kanata-kun. Now I feel bad because I (spoiler alert) married Suzuya-chan. But then, I GOT SPOILED IN HUNTING THIS PICTURE OF KANATA-KUN!!! ARGHHH. Well, I'm terribly TERRIBLY (yes, I do feel the need to emphasize here) itching to do Kanata-kun's path. It's because my poor darling's sick and well, I'm in for a whole lot of drama, partly because he has this incurable disease and he doesn't want to be fussed over too much. He acts tough, really, he has his soft side. Sheesh, he's just like Kyo from Fruits Basket. I really cannot take this. (Since I have a weakness for seemingly bad guys who has a special spot for a girl they love. Hear that potential boyfriend? Hahaha.) 

But then I think I'll feel bad for honey Suzuya-chan when I choose Kanata-kun this time. It's like, I chose you first remember? And it feels kinda lonely to go on without being close to Suzuya-chan because I've found safety and bliss in his arms. UWAAH. Because you see, when you choose your destiny here, you end up having the friendship with the other guys but it doesn't really end up a notch higher anymore. That's it, you're talking and nothing more personal. You do get A WHOLE LOT personal with your chosen guy though. And no, this game doesn't have any P**** so you can relax. 

Oh yeah, now this guys, is my (spoiler alert) hubby.  Haha. He's a pretty amazing guy, and I'm sure he's the epitome of what girls like most in guys. Sweet, responsible, carrying, handsome, and a worrywart. Right, maybe not the worrywart part, but come on, don't you want a guy who fusses over you? It's rather sweet, I think. Although he does this so much that he does seem like a mom. But I don't care for that much for his caressing words. Sure they're romantic but I don't really like when he talks like that because after awhile it turns kinda... well, mushy. And totally corny. But beware. If you're for all that, his words might melt you. He melted me into a pudding. 

So those are the guys for Starry Sky In Spring. There are others 3 for Autumn, Fall, and Winter. They're different from my honeys here, but I saw that there's a specifically yummy guy from Winter. Which just makes me itching for the game. Oh yeah, SS In Spring has a sequel, SS After Spring. This is where all the fun starts because we'd do away with all the high school stuff. But still, there's no P scenes. I'm not really disappointed. I even think that's pretty cool. Yay for "clean and good" Otome games! 

Can't wait but I do want to get my hands on the After Spring game though. Advance Happy New Year guys!

It's been a week since the holiday vacation and so far, I haven't done anything productive school-wise (hello, all ye grammar nazis) even though I know our group should've had a meeting to perform experiments for our ICT experimental project and uh... a few journal entries to write in my native language. Not to mention 3 homework to kill. I'll pay for this in a few weeks, oh don't I know it. 

So what have I been up to these last few day? Well, it's basically just a sleep-computer-eat-read-sleep routine. I seriously haven't gone out since school broke out. Isn't that insane or insane? Having a dad who gets a headache after one hour in the mall, and mom who's so busy with work she arrives dead midnight doesn't really help. Plus, they won't let me go out alone. It's a sad world, but hey, I keep looking for entertaining stuff to keep around the bend. 

Yeah, as you can see in my title, (I'm sorry for the slightly lengthy introduction-slash-ranting session I've bombarded you with. I didn't mean to throw all of that to you. Since, as you know, my love life pretty much sucked and this Christmas didn't really give me any giggle worthy experiences and opportunities (last time I checked, there were no guys preparing AVP presentations , declaring their love for me). So I got myself attached to these "boys" that are kind of not real. But they're really hot, so that probably explains why I'm all over Otome gamer blogs, reading about games that I'm no sooner going to play (because duh, all the good ones are in Japanese and there aren't English patches available anywhere). He acts tough, really, he has his soft side. Sheesh, he's just like Kyo from Fruits Basket. I really cannot take this. (Since I have a weakness for seemingly bad guys who has a special spot for a girl they love. Hear that potential boyfriend? Hahaha.) 

But then I think I'll feel bad for honey Suzuya-chan when I choose Kanata-kun this time. It's like, I chose you first remember? And it feels kinda lonely to go on without being close to Suzuya-chan because I've found safety and bliss in his arms. UWAAH. Because you see, when you choose your destiny here, you end up having the friendship with the other guys but it doesn't really end up a notch higher anymore. That's it, you're talking and nothing more personal. You do get A WHOLE LOT personal with your chosen guy though. And no, this game doesn't have any P**** so you can relax. 

Oh yeah, now this guys, is my (spoiler alert) hubby.  Haha. He's a pretty amazing guy, and I'm sure he's the epitome of what girls like most in guys. Sweet, responsible, carrying, handsome, and a worrywart. Right, maybe not the worrywart part, but come on, don't you want a guy who fusses over you? It's rather sweet, I think. Although he does this so much that he does seem like a mom. But I don't care for that much for his caressing words. Sure they're romantic but I don't really like when he talks like that because after awhile it turns kinda... well, mushy. And totally corny. But beware. If you're for all that, his words might melt you. He melted me into a pudding. 

So those are the guys for Starry Sky In Spring. There are others 3 for Autumn, Fall, and Winter. They're different from my honeys here, but I saw that there's a specifically yummy guy from Winter. Which just makes me itching for the game. Oh yeah, SS In Spring has a sequel, SS After Spring. This is where all the fun starts because we'd do away with all the high school stuff. But still, there's no P scenes. I'm not really disappointed. I even think that's pretty cool. Yay for "clean and good" Otome games! 

Can't wait but I do want to get my hands on the After Spring game though. Advance Happy New Year guys!

Happy holidays everyone! Whoa lookie at it, in just one hour, we'd be facing Christmas in the face. It's been a week since the holiday vacation and so far, I haven't done anything productive school-wise (hello, all ye grammar nazis) even though I know our group should've had a meeting to perform experiments for our ICT experimental project and uh... a few journal entries to write in my native language. Not to mention 3 homework to kill. I'll pay for this in a few weeks, oh don't I know it. 

So what have I been up to these last few day? Well, it's basically just a sleep-computer-eat-read-sleep routine. I seriously haven't gone out since school broke out. Isn't that insane or insane? Having a dad who gets a headache after one hour in the mall, and mom who's so busy with work she arrives dead midnight doesn't really help. Plus, they won't let me go out alone. It's a sad world, but hey, I keep looking for entertaining stuff to keep around the bend. 

Yeah, as you can see in my title, (I'm sorry for the slightly lengthy introduction-slash-ranting session I've bombarded you with. I didn't mean to throw all of that to you. Since, as you know, my love life pretty much sucked and this Christmas didn't really give me any giggle worthy experiences and opportunities (last time I checked, there were no guys preparing AVP presentations , declaring their love for me).
