The Basketball Mania
Monday, June 6, 201110:55 AM

Aloo there. So here I am, in front of my laptop, and beyond that is the flatscreen. I'm tuned in to the Finals telecast and I'm fully aware that whenever Dallas scores a ball, I'm hollering my head off. And let's not forget that I get mini headache when I strain my neuro brain cells. Or maybe it's just the veins. Stupid veins. But then I noticed that if you cheer on your team while watching, your team unfortunately gets the sack. So it's better if you take back your support (and cheer them on silently in your subconscious mind) and focus your attention on other things, like posting basketball stuff here on blogger.

Yeah, I'm actually about to get a haircut but I found myself voodoo chanting/praying for Dallas victory and it's quite hilarious, come  to think of it. My parents, including my brother vies for the Miami Heat (losers) and it's not helping my ego especially since my dad and I are on a verbal power struggle as to who rules the court, may it be the Mavericks (What does that word even mean? They do limericks? Or.. other.) or the Heats. I don't even know what got me in this basketball thing. I'm not a fan (until now) and I've always wondered if people have multiple teams to support.

My knowledge on NBA teams ends on the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. That's pretty much it. And then just recently, it was mentioned in the local news that Miami Heat's coach is a half-Filipino. That got my pride kicking in but I didn't pay much attention. A few weeks ago, I caught a brief glimpse of the first play between Dallas and Miami. The Miami supposedly owned that  game. I remember wishing the Heats good luck then because I didn't know a thing. And now, I'm a full blown DALLAS FAN! Whoo to Dallas! What got me jumping in the Dallas bandwagon? You see, three days ago, I was finally able to sit down and concentrate on an actual NBA broadcast and watch the guys at play.

I don't know, I just got this aura from Heat (that they're boastful losers especially that byotch James) that they're up to no good and I found myself rooting for Dallas. They just look so tame and... yeah. Oh God, Miami's ahead. Loser. So I'm just going to highlight some of the things that caught my attention.

[http://espn.go.com/nba/] Lebron James, Miami Heat

Just look at Lebron James. I mean, what is wrong with him? Does urges to make what the heck expressions come naturally, or does he have face muscle problems? We know, we know, you just made a really good dunk, but we saw it. No need to rub in our faces through the big screen. And what's up with his tattoos anyway? (NOTE: People, I'm just expressing my unblemished and unbiased opinion here. To all Miami Heat fans, I'm sorry for messing with your star player or something but, I just don't get his face or his facial expressions.) And as you can see, we also have #41 Nowitzki's backside! Well, I'm not his big fan, but I really appreciate his shooting skills. It helps that you're 7 feet tall though.

Okay, so I'm actually watching the 3rd game between Miami and Dallas. They're currently on the tie. And the crowd is growing wild. In a sea of blues, they're like "!#@$#". (Because I can't make out what they're saying. Oh, God knows.) One word to describe what I'm feeling: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

[tawapinoy.wordpress.com] Erik Spoelstra, Miami Heat Coach

There. That's Erik Spoelstra, Miami Heat's current coach. Yeah yeah, I know he's Filipino and I should be proud him and all, but I can't help feeling and thinking he's a drug lord. But my brother thinks he looks like a goblin. (NOTE: These comparisons are all opinions; it does not imply that Spoelstra is a drug lord or a goblin.)

Aw. Dallas lost. WTF? Screw you people. I'm joking. It's a joke. I still love Dallas and Miami still makes my head hurt. WTH dad and brother. What is wrong with you also? Why shout gloatingly?

[gspn.net] Jason Terry from Dallas Mavericks

Now, I'm really love this guy. Jason Terry. I just find him really cute and I always thought he's a little on the short side. I don't know about his records and anything about him actually, but I really like him. Dallas was fierce today. They gave a really good fight. It was definitely a good set so I'm still proud o' you guys. Way to go. We're all set for the next game. Next game, next game...
